Canoe Instruction

1. Lake Canoeing (3 hour) $75pp + gst

Learn all the basics in this beginner course.

On flat water you will learn how to steer straight lines, turn, brace and gain knowledge in necessary safety techniques and working with a paddling partner. A series of games will be played to reinforce the learning and maintain the fun factor.

Incentive: If one individual organizes a group of 9 paying friends the organizer paddles for ½ the cost. ($37.50 + gst)

 

2. River Canoeing (3 hour) $80pp + gst

Learn all the basics in this moving water course. Gain confidence as you perform forward ferries and eddy turns. These manoeuvers enhance boat balance boat control and provide a greater understanding of current and how it affects a canoe. You will also learn important river rescue techniques.

Incentive: If one individual organizes a group of 7 paying friends the organizer paddles for ½ the cost. ($40 + gst)

 

3. Lake to River Canoeing Weekend  $140pp + gst.

This course will take you through the full basics of canoing in one weekend. On Friday evening your will learn basic flatwater skills and then spend Saturday learning river fundamentals. On Sunday, you’ll spend a full day learning and perfecting whitewater skills with a river run to put it all into practice.
Incentive: If one individual organizes a group of 7 paying friends the organizer paddles for ½ the cost. ($70 + gst)
