Experience the ease of guided canoe trips on Alberta’s Bow River just minutes South of Calgary.

Rated Class 1 (Novice) this section of the Bow River offers calm slow moving water perfect for novice paddlers to learn paddling strokes and for expert paddlers to hone their skill.

Expect 55 km of spectacular scenery, one night of wilderness camping, 3-4 hours of paddling a day and time for exploration.

You will have the opportunity to see beautiful riparian habitat and the possibility of wildlife such as eagles, osprey, hawks, falcons and owls, as well as pelicans, deer, moose, coyote and the occasional fox.

This section of the Bow River is a world renown Blue Ribbon fishery. Rainbow and Brown Trout abound!

Bring a fly or spin cast rod and a fishing license if you are over 16 years of age.

We provide certified guides, Old Town canoes, paddles, pfd’s, safety gear, paddling instruction, river safety briefing, boat delivery and pick up.

For group dynamics and safety tours are minimized to 8 paddlers.

Red Deer River Overnight Canoe Trip

Experience the ease of guided canoe trips on Alberta’s Red Deer River.

Rated Class 1 (Novice) the lower section of the Red Deer River offers calm slow moving water perfect for novice paddlers to learn paddling strokes and for expert paddlers to hone their skill.

Expect unforgettable Badland scenery, two nights of wilderness camping, 4 hours of paddling a day as well as lots of time for exploration.

You will have the opportunity to see beautiful riparian habitat and the possibility of wildlife such as eagles, osprey, hawks, falcons and owls, as well as pelicans, deer, and coyotes. Not to mention prickly pear cactus!
